A Clinic for Non-Life Threatening acute injuries and illness. (if you can phone ahead for acute injuries we can triage appropriately).
If your situation is life threatening we encourage you to attend your closest emergency department or call 000 for an ambulance.
When to visit urgent care
For all non-life-threatening medical emergencies.
Why wait in an emergency room when the doctors and nurses are able to assist you in our practice?
Urgent care can consist of the below.
- Possible sprains or fractures
Sports injuries - Minor eye problems (foreign body in eye)
- Minor burns or scalds
- Minor illness including fever and rashes
- Insect and animal bites
- Cuts that require stitches
When you should visit an Emergency Department
We strongly encourage to call 000 for an ambulance in any of the following situations.
- Major Trauma
- Possible Sepsis
- Any Acute severe pain
- Suspected Stroke
- Syncope or seizures
- Moderate to severe head injuries
- Open fractures
- Spinal trauma
- Acute testicular pain
- Acute mental health
- Acute confusion
- Any chest pain
